The Principal of Bentiu University of Petroleum held a keynote speech at the Mayom County GraduateAssociation Seminar in Juba

The Mayom County Graduate Association in Juba has organized a one day Seminar under the Theme:
“An Understanding to why educating a generation has immense value on societal growth and
development”.

The public seminar was held at Nyakorean Cultural Center in Juba and attended by several graduates
from the seven counties of Unity State, MPs from the national and state parliament as well as by State
Ministers and SPDF senior officers.

Among the Topics discussed were:

 Modern education and its value in building a fractured society,
 Enhancing active participation and foster social equity and justice,
 Using education to promote our health knowledge and help the county,
 Education as source of intellectuality and practical skills for societal development,
 Role of education in maintaining societal peace and promote developmental program by
featuring individual and collective human virtue embraced social cohesion.

Among the keynote speakers were Justice Riak Bim Top, Governor of the Unity State, Fr. Dr. John
Gatluak Biel, Dr. Bill Gueth Kuil, Prof. Fracis Soria Gatluak, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and
Finance, Dr. John Garang Memorial University and Prof. Melha Rout Biel, Principal of Bentiu University
of Petroleum and Executive Director of the Institute for Strategic and Policy Studies (ISPS), South Sudan.
