On the 30 th of September 2024, the Vice Chancellor of Bentiu University of Petroleum and Executive
Director of ISPS, paid a courtesy to H.E. The Governor of Unity State, Justice Riek Bim Top at the State
Coordination office in Juba.

Prof. Biel briefed the Governor the efforts made to open the University and the need to financial
support the University. H.E. the Governor reconfirmed his Government support. In the afternoon, the
Governor met with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Ambassador
Monday Semaya Kumba in present of the Vice Chancellor Dr. Biel. One of the Topic discussed by the H.E.
the Governor and Hon. Minister was how best to support Bentiu University of Petroleum in its efforts to
operationalize the University, particularly building it infrastructure and manpower.
